As the VMCRA heads to Franklin
County Speedway located in Callaway,
Virginia.
The action kicks off Saturday, May 17th.
so come on down for an evening of wild
family fun and excitement at the races.
FRANKLIN COUNTY SPEEDWAY
ASA
sanctioned
racing returns to FCS Saturday May 17th
with the green flag at 7:20pm, with gates opening at
3pm, practice at 4pm and qualifying set to begin
at 6pm.
Location:
Callaway, VA.
Dimensions:
Three-eights mile asphalt oval. Corner
banking 22 degrees. Straights banking 12 degrees. Turns are 60 feet
wide and the straights are 50 feet wide.

Mother Nature Wins at Franklin
County Speedway for the Second Week in a Row

The April showers will not give Franklin County
Speedway a break in 2008. For the second consecutive week rain washed
out the racing program at the fast 3/8ths mile paved oval.

Well, we fought the rains and the
rains almost won, but we managed to
get another 20 laps recorded into the VMCRA history books with the #17
Cusson Racing, driven by Jason Adkins getting their first win of the
season at Shenandoah Speedway. Congratulations Jason, Chuck, and the
rest of your crew. |

When we pulled into Shenandoah, there was no sign of
rain but as the
day went on, the clouds rolled in and if you’ve had the chance to view
the pictures from victory lane, you can see how lucky we were to get
the checkered as the rains started coming down pretty good and everyone
avoided a wet track, spins, and possible damage from a slick track.
